We can’t thank the team enough for making our wedding day so special. The venue was the perfect backdrop, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We’ve had so many compliments from our guests, and everyone loved the bowling, which added a fun and memorable touch.

A special thank you to the events and bar teams for going above and beyond — nothing was ever too much trouble. The care, kindness, and attention throughout the day truly meant a lot to us.

A wonderful venue with an amazing team. We couldn’t have asked for more and would highly recommend it.

Quite simply the best and most venue! The staff are all amazing, the beer and food are fabulous and the hotel is excellent. Can’t fault it at all. Parking was a struggle but one member of staff said she was leaving and would go wait in her car for me so I could have her space! Above and beyond

Amazing food/drinks and service too. The staff were so friendly here, we had an issue with food and it was resolved immediately without fuss. The dogs were very popular too.

Went here for lunch on Monday and went into the beer hall rather than the food hall as the choice of hot food was much better. Well, that was a mistake. We both had cheese and onion pie and asked for peas rather than beans. Food arrived, no peas. The pies looked like they had been in a warming cupboard for about 2 days, were dry and tasted awful. There was on,y about half a centimetre of cheese in the bottom of the what appeared to be shop bought pie. The gravy was so thick it couldn’t be poured and the chips were burnt, dry and covered in salt. Peas arrived after 15 minutes. All the staff look miserable and like they’d rather be anywhere but there. The worst meal I’ve ever paid for. In fact, I wish I’d not paid as it was expensive rubbish. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else

Fabulous salad lunch and lovely – if a bit pricey – shopping experience. Something here for everyone and very handy for the train just ten or twelve minutes walk away. The shops along the route are varied and smart as is the whole town. A very pleasant change as was the fabulous Everyman Theatre which was showing a matinee of The Thursday Murder Club.
