This is a very nice place to come and eat have a chat with friends, or take someone special out, the interior is different this gives it the 5* atmosphere in here. The food was okay nothing to complain about but not 5* we really enjoyed our meal here, and will come back again. The service wasn’t so good as we had expected long wait for to take our order for our desserts, in the end we actually gave up and paid and left a shame really, this was the only thing that was wrong. Overall it’s a nice place to come and get some things to eat.
Just had a fantastic meal here.
Thank you to the staff for an enjoyable evening.
Very good portions, even the little choice was large.
Nice, spacious, popular central restaurant of Clitheroe. Offers starters, pizzas amongst other local dishes. Quite busy this time of year hence having to wait quite a while for food and subsequent drinks ordered. All in all the pizzas were good, a little burnt along the edges unfortunately but generally pretty tasty. The Americano had some good spice!
Walking into the restaurant was rather pleasant, seemed like a lovely restaurant.
Staff took our order for drinks which consisted of a bottle of coke and a glass of wine, only to take 15 minutes to come to the table. Starters came and were rather delightful, gave us high hopes for the main course to come. Me and my partner both ordered the emporium burger which I can only describe as a rustler burger from Sainsbury’s next door. The buns were soggy upon arrival with an handful of flour underneath to dry it up I presume 🤔, burgers were frozen as they tasted like cardboard. Our upgraded aspen fries must’ve been grabbed from the takeaway down the road as they were bitter, dry and unpleasant with no taste of truffle oil or fresh herbs in sight and a handful of dry unmelted cheddar (not parmesan) When asked what sauce was preferred, mayo was first choice until it came in a warm plastic pot from god knows where. All in all very disappointed with this evening especially after all the good reviews and opinions we’ve heard.
So yeah, really nice looking restaurant, felt top notch walking in. Greeted by very friendly staff who were quick to show us our table and take our drinks order. We had the pizza it was not great to put it mildly, under cooked and soggy the base looked raw. Tables are too close together for my liking but that’s more personal preference. Overall it looks great but covering the basics of serving edible food was lacking, wouldn’t return
