First time visiting with a friend who had suggested after previous visits. Didn’t book in advance and although it was extremely busy at the time we were seen to quickly and made to feel very welcome. All of the service staff were friendly. I ordered the vegetable hotpot, it was the perfect portion size and so tasty! Have very good veggie/vegan options. Will be back!

We had our engagement party here in August 2025 and it was the best night ever!

We have over 100 guests and we had the absolute best time. The venue and the TEAM were amazing. Ed was great and the Alison running the event if you could please thank her personally – she was brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble I haven’t seen a venue run so well in a very long time. From enquiry to set up to food service, bar service etc. I can’t describe how good it was – thank you so so much!!!

We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone we know! We hope the tidy up wasn’t too bad, it was a bit of a wild one 🥳

Thanks again we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better venue and everyone complimented the surroundings and food – of which there was plenty and our gluten free and veggie guests were catered for really well!! 🩷🩷🩷

We took the bbq package and brought our own celebration cake, The Mill went above and beyond to do us his and hers cocktails and make sure everything was set up how we wanted it. We loved every second.

Lovely full english breakfast -made from quality ingredients too. Good service and a quality decaf latte to boot.

Nice cafe. I had some tea and avocado and scrambled eggs on bread, that was delicious. I would appreciate some more avocado though.

The Christmas shop had some many lovely little decorations!

The place was full when we arrived, which is usually a good sign. The staff were warm and welcoming.

For starters, I opted for the roast turkey with full trimmings. At first glance the food looked fine, but then disaster struck. The sprouts were undercooked, almost raw. The carrots tasted like they had come straight from a supermarket freezer bag, and the roast potatoes were just average. The only saving grace was the turkey, which was served in generous portions and was succulent.

The food arrived quickly, but I was a little disappointed that no member of staff came over to ask if everything was all right.

Next came the sherry trifle. It tasted very nice, but it wasn’t really a sherry trifle — more like a plain strawberry trifle.

My wife opted for the scone and cream, which she rated 8 out of 10, a high score for her.

All in all, it’s a lovely place with fantastic staff and supporting a good cause, but the main course wasn’t great. My rating is based on the quality of the meal and value for money. Was the roast turkey worth £17.50? Probably not.
