Wonderful environment to spend time with friends and family, and a huge variety of craft beers to choose from. My friends ordered the fish & chips, turkey sub, and cheeseburgers, which were all up to expectation. Unfortunately, the chicken wings I ordered were far too salty and very dry. I could hardly finish them and felt extremely thirsty afterwards.
The waitress who served us was kind and polite, which we appreciated. However, the reception experience was disappointing. As it was our first visit, we didn’t realise the reception desk was right behind us. We stood there for a few minutes, unsure of what to do, but neither of the reception staff came over to offer help. When we eventually turned around and noticed them, they teased us, which made us feel quite unwelcome.
Overall, the atmosphere and environment were good, and the food was average, but due to the reception experience, we wouldn’t choose to visit again.
Fabulous place, the beer hall, the shop and the hotel. If like my hubby you love beer, this is the place for you. The food is good too, little pricey however extremely tasty. We will be back, highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff, Sandy and Tony
Incredible beer mecca.
42 cask handpulls! Visited on a Tuesday when around 4-5 ales were half price (also on Mondays) and a very good selection. All the beers I tried were great.
A must visit place for anyone who loves beers and good food.
If you like cask ale you will absolutely love this place, if you don’t its still excellent and well worth a visit. They have a huge range of ales on tap, apparently 24 different ones, including many from their own brewery. The beers they have are well looked after and well poured. You can order in pints, halves or thye are more than happy to create a paddle of four thirds. They also offer a good range of other drinks including coffees and alohol free gin
We had a sunday roast and the food was excellent. The portions were large, the meat delicious and the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. They are very clear around what is gluten free and other dietary restrictions.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. There is great inside and outside seating. Cant wait to visit again
Came for bowling with the kids and stayed for food in the beer hall.
Food was stunning. Service was amazing, nothing was too much for Tracey our server.
Our little one was tired and hungry but loved his dinner and ice cream. Would definitely recommend and would love yo come back again.
