In general, we enjoy going to Nero. Good atmosphere. They allow dogs in. We never had a problem with the staff.
There’s an issue I would mention: the queues. Off putting. You can see the staff overwhelmed behind the counter trying to serve all customers. I don’t blame the staff. Perhaps they should address this using a bit of imagination? e.g., one member of the staff sitting the queuing people? Offering the queuing people some nibbles? Apologising? Definitely, the Caffe needs to do something about this.

Staff are so blunt and rude, no hi how are you and treating you like you’re an idiot. Asked if they had WiFi as it wasn’t under Nero or anything and the guy looked at me like an idiot and just said yeah? Staff banged my food onto the table and when I was ordering I was going to ask to quickly change before she made it but when I said excuse me she just glared at me! No customer service skills whatsoever

Staff were abusive to my elderly brother-in-law last November when he attempted to redeem a QR code. They then told him it was invalid when it was blatantly valid (he used it elsewhere). Awful shop with awful people in it.

Today I went to the Clitheroe Nero to get coffee and have to say that it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The 2 membera of staff seemed like they really didn’t want to be there. A gentleman who came to pay for his coffee had asked if they were ok and that he hadn’t seen one of the girls in a while and asked if she had been away. She reluctantly replied no and that she was off a few days to get away from this place! The gentleman then said it must hard making coffees all day and asked how many do they serve each week. He was an elderly gentleman and was trying to make polite conversation. The young girl didn’t acknowledge him and the other said that they served over 2000 last week. He left the counter after paying so I asked the young girl if she as ok? She replied with reluctant yep, I then said its ok to smile whilst smiling myself, she gave a look and a patranising smirk. I then said are you sure your ok, do you not like working here? Again I was pleasant but she replied back with ” I don’t have to give YOU an explanation if I want to smile or not ” this was said very abruptly. I then said, but its good customer service, as I was shocked with her reply. I had spent £30 in the cafe and not happy with the customer service. If the girl was unhappy for any reason it shouldn’t reflect on the customer. Not at all a good experience 😕

Very busy but managed to find a clean table. Lovely coffee and cake.
