We had a brunch today, my wife & I. I managed to find a vegan option. It’s a very nice place to be. The staff was very polite & helpful. They allowed our dogs in. The atmosphere is like going back in time, which is nice. It’s different.
Have been coming to this cafe for 20+ years and the decor hasn’t changed which makes it feel very cosy and nostalgic. Nice menu with varying specials. I had a simple toastie which was nice but the side salad could have been bigger. Prices are better value than other cafes in the area. Excellent choice of drinks too, including matcha!
This is my third time eating and drinking at Exchange Coffee Co, and my first time writing a review.
The staff and atmosphere are always perfect, and the food is so delicious – the coffees are so good that I’ve heard it’s the primary source of coffee for all of Clitheroe.
Today the homemade soup of the day was tomato and roasted red pepper. I expected it to be delicious, as it was – but it exceeded even those expectations – it was in fact the best soup I have EVER had. This is not only the best café in Clitheroe but perhaps the best I’ve ever been to.

Prompt friendly service and delicious fresh produce – not just the stunning selection of excellent coffees from around the world!
Particularly recommend the Full Lancashire breakfast (served until 11:30) or, if a little later, the classic Club Sandwich.
Service is always prompt and friendly. A very well-run establishment.
This is an amazing bar/cafe where nothing is to much trouble. All staff are very polite and attentive especially Alex who served us. Amazing tea, hot chocolate and mince pie. They also made Seth very welcome. Please visit this place but keep the window seat for us lol 😆
