Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail (Brungerley Park)

Launched in 1993 as the first of its kind in Lancashire, the Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail is a unique cultural journey through the scenic landscape of Clitheroe.

The trail winds through the mature woodlands of Brungerley Park and into the rugged environment of Cross Hill Quarry, a local nature reserve.

Featuring over 20 permanent works of art, the trail offers an ever-changing gallery where sculptures created by various artists respond to the local heritage and natural environment.

Important Information

Accessibility: The trail is a circular route of approximately 1.5 miles (2.5km). The main pathway in Brungerley Park is surfaced and suitable for prams, but the full trail includes some steep slopes and steps, especially as it enters the quarry.
Footwear: Stout footwear or walking boots are highly recommended, particularly after wet weather when the quarry sections can be muddy.
Family Amenities: Brungerley Park features a playground for children and open spaces for picnicking. In summer, there is an access point near Brungerley Bridge for paddling in the river.
